GVote is a hybrid governance system that puts real decision-making power into the hands of the GD community.
In short: GD will be governed and distributed by the ones GD holders vote for.
Through open and transparent voting, GD holders elect trusted leaders — the GBoard — who help guide the direction of the ecosystem and decide how GD is used to support growth, innovation, and contributors.
🔄 Why a Hybrid Governance Model?
The hybrid governance model isn’t here to replace GooDAO — it complements it.
GooDAO (Governor Alpha) is perfect for large, irreversible, on-chain protocol changes.
GVote is lightweight and faster — ideal for community elections, short-cycle funding, and soft governance decisions.
It’s about combining security with flexibility, and empowering more GD holders to participate meaningfully.
✅ How Voting Power Works
Voting power is based on a user’s GD holdings before each voting round.
To prevent short-term manipulation, GVote uses multiple historical block snapshots to calculate the average GD balance.
Optionally, early holders get extra weight — the longer you hold GD, the stronger your voting power.

🧑⚖️ GBoard Nominations (Anyone Can Join)
Any user can become a GBoard candidate by receiving at least X nomination votes (default: 50M GD voting power).
Nomination votes are based on averaged snapshots, not a single moment — making them harder to game.
Once nominated, candidates enter the GBoard and are eligible to receive votes from the entire community.

After each round, the top GBoard members (e.g. Top 10) and their voters receive rewards — including:
